It must be remembered that there is no local

supply of nurses on which we might draw occasionally to

relieve the pressure and it is necessary that we should

have a sufficient number to meet all requirements.

The number of steps to be negotiated and

the distance from the hospital to the Maternity in hot

weather is very trying.

The Sisters respectfully beg to point out

that they have endeavoured to keep up with the work in the

past but they now feel they are unable to cope with the increase of work especially in the hot weather, which is

our heavy season.

Under the circumstances they most earnestly

hope that His Excellency will be good enough to entertain
